How the wave planner works

Enter the wave where you failed, your Coins and Souls, population tier, main units, and current weapon. The planner compares your team DPS against the nearest observed boss checkpoint and estimates kill time. If the boss would take longer than 30 seconds, it suggests concrete upgrades from verified skill tree, weapon, and altar data.

Your setup

Simplified model: DPS = ATK × SPD plus weapon DMG as player DPS; boss kill target 30s. Ability effects not included.

Suggestions

  • Upgrade Unit Damage I (+unit damage) — 200 coins (skill-tree.json)
  • Next weapon: Steel Broadsword (DMG +45) — 10 coins (weapons.json)
  • Coins are short for every suggestion — boost income first: Coin Income II — 1,000 coins (skill-tree.json)

Stuck on a boss wave

Boss waves appear every 25 waves — Wave 25, 50, 75, and so on — with the same four bosses rotating and scaling HP each cycle. When a boss outlasts your frontline, check the Boss reference panel for its observed HP and your estimated kill time. If kill time exceeds 30 seconds, your DPS is too low for that checkpoint.

Upgrade units vs skill tree

Early stalls usually need skill tree nodes — Population, Unit Damage, and Coin Income — before expensive altar summons. Mid-game stalls often need a stronger unit or weapon upgrade. The planner prioritizes population cap raises when slots are full, then Unit Damage nodes, then affordable altar upgrades within your Souls budget.

Common failure patterns

Frontline collapse means you need a guard or more HP from Boss Health nodes. Boss timeout means raw DPS is too low — upgrade units, weapon DMG, or Unit Damage nodes. Running out of Coins for every suggestion means Coin Income nodes should come first. Change one variable per run so you know what helped.

Wave Planner FAQ

What should I do when stuck on a boss wave?

Note the exact wave number and check the Boss reference against your team DPS. If estimated kill time exceeds 30 seconds, follow the suggestions — usually Population or Unit Damage skill tree nodes first, then a stronger unit or weapon. See the Enemies page for observed boss HP at each checkpoint.

Should I upgrade units or the skill tree first?

Skill tree nodes usually pay off first — Population unlocks more slots, Unit Damage scales every minion, and Coin Income funds everything else. Summon new units when you have Souls to spare and the planner shows an affordable altar upgrade that beats your current best slot.

Why does my team fail even with high DPS?

The simplified model ignores ability effects, healing, and stuns. A support unit may carry a run without topping DPS charts. Also check population — filling slots with one-slot units when a two-slot unit would help is a common pattern. Use the Team Builder to verify role coverage.

Where do boss HP numbers come from?

Boss HP is parsed from observed checkpoint notes in waves.json — sourced from gameplay footage at specific waves. The Waves page shows the full rotation; the Enemies page lists each boss with HP samples. Beyond wave 100, the planner references the last verified checkpoint.
