Build Tips

A solid off-tank that both heals and mitigates. Execute deals 250% ATK with 35% lifesteal and a further +50% damage below 30% HP. The catch is that he is not a large enough upgrade over Barbarian to justify the Mythic-tier cost for most players.

Melee Tips

  • Melee units need frontline coverage; without a guard they take hero focus fire and die quickly.
  • Check Range before placement — short-range melees belong one tile behind the entrance cluster.
  • Prioritize ATK and HP mutations on melees you keep in your active layout past wave 100.

Active Ability

Execute

Deal 250% ATK damage with 35% lifesteal, and +50% damage when below 30% HP.

Passives

Butcher Block

When taking damage: Block 60 + 10% ATK damage.

Unit FAQ

Do mutations change this unit's abilities?

No. Mutations only multiply ATK and HP — active abilities, passives, and Range stay the same. A Cursed or Demonic copy hits harder and survives longer but keeps the same skill set. See the mutation variant table above for exact numbers.

What does population Cost mean on the unit card?

Population Cost is the number of slots this minion consumes when deployed. Your total slots come from Skill Tree nodes like Population I and II. A two-slot support like Cursed Acolyte needs Population II unlocked before you can field it.

When should I spend Souls on this unit?

Spend Souls on units already in your active layout — not bench picks. Cheap starters (1–10 Souls) are fine to buy directly. For expensive units, batch mutation rolls during Cursed Moon when odds double, and compare DPS per population Cost in the Unit Value Calculator before committing.
