Be The Final Boss Mutations
Unit mutations in Be The Final Boss — Shiny, Cursed, and Demonic multipliers, what they change, and what they leave untouched.
Last updated: 2026-07-20
Quick answer
There are three mutations in Be The Final Boss: Shiny (×1.3 ATK/HP), Cursed (×2.0), and Demonic (×2.5, added in Update 1). Demonic is the best. Mutations only boost ATK and HP — abilities and range never change.
Shiny
ATK and HP +30% (final x1.3). Confirmed by public guide (All Things How, 2026-07-18) and footage Power reads (Bone Grunt 280→362, Tomb Hound 878→1140, Grave Warlock field HP 300→390). Does not affect Active/Passive/Range. Altar price x3 for Shiny units.
Cursed
ATK and HP +100% (final x2.0). Confirmed by public guide (All Things How, 2026-07-18) and footage: Bone Grunt 55/400 → 110/800, Tomb Hound 288/540 → 576/1080. Does not affect Active/Passive/Range. Altar price roughly x10 for Cursed units.
Demonic
ATK and HP +150% (final x2.5). Confirmed by public guide (All Things How, 2026-07-18); footage same-account reads agree (Bone Grunt 358 → Demonic 895 ≈ x2.5). Does not affect Active/Passive/Range.
How to read the mutations list
Each card separates the observed multiplier from the parts of a unit that stay unchanged. Use the source notes and last-checked date when comparing a new summon.
Check the affected stats
The current data models mutations as ATK and HP multipliers. Active abilities, passives, and range are not multiplied by the simulator.
Compare the same base unit
A multiplier is most useful when you compare variants of the same unit at the same level. Use the unit cards and simulator to keep that comparison consistent.
Verify after an update
Check the in-game unit card after updates or balance changes. Source-backed values are more useful than a tier list that cannot be reproduced.
Price premium: Shiny units cost 3x the altar price; Cursed units roughly 10x.

Mutations Tier List
Ranked by raw stat multiplier — all three mutations boost only ATK and HP, so the multiplier is the whole story. Price premiums matter when buying from the Summon Altar.
Demonic ×2.5
Highest multiplier in the game (x2.5 ATK and HP). Added in Update 1 — the mutation to chase on your core carry units.
Cursed ×2.0
A clean x2.0 to both stats, but altar prices run roughly 10x the base unit — strong, expensive, best reserved for units you will keep long-term.
Shiny ×1.3
x1.3 at a 3x price premium — a modest bridge upgrade. Worth taking when it appears on a rarity upgrade you already wanted.
Mutation Multiplier Simulator
Pick an observed unit and a mutation to project its ATK and HP. Only ATK and HP scale — abilities and range stay unchanged.

Mutations FAQ
How do you get mutated units in Be The Final Boss?
Mutated units appear randomly when summoning at the Summon Altar, at a higher soul price than normal versions. Skill-tree summon nodes (Summon Luck, Altar Slots) improve your odds of seeing them.
What is the best mutation?
Demonic — it multiplies ATK and HP by 2.5, the highest in the game. Cursed (x2.0) is second, and Shiny (x1.3) is the entry tier.
Do mutations change abilities or range?
No. All three mutations affect only ATK and HP — Active and Passive abilities and Range stay identical to the base unit, confirmed by side-by-side unit-card comparisons.
How much more do mutated units cost?
At the Summon Altar, Shiny units cost about 3x the base soul price and Cursed units roughly 10x. A confirmed Demonic price multiple has not been observed yet.
When was the Demonic mutation added?
In Update 1 (July 17, 2026), alongside three new units, the Unit Index, and the Gold Rush, Shard Storm, and Cursed Moon events.
