How to Get Souls Fast in Be The Final Boss

Every confirmed Soul source in Be The Final Boss — code rewards, the Soul Harness branch, kill farming, and why Cursed Moon decides when you should spend.

Souls are the summoning currency in Be The Final Boss. Coins buy skill tree nodes and weapons; Souls buy rolls at the Summon Altar. That split matters, because the fastest way to a stronger army is rarely "farm more Souls" — it is "spend the Souls you already have at the right moment."

Here is every Soul source that can be confirmed right now, and the timing rule that makes each one worth more.

Start with 225 free Souls from codes

Two active codes pay out Souls directly:

| Code | Souls | | ---------------- | ----- | | claimthethrone | 125 | | slaydemheroes | 100 |

That is 225 Souls with no farming at all. Redeem them through the gear icon in the top-left, then scroll to the code box at the bottom of Settings — codes are case-sensitive. The full list lives on the codes page, which also tracks where each reward figure came from and where trackers disagree.

One caveat worth knowing: some sites list slaydemheroes at 50 Souls instead of 100. The 100 figure is what most trackers report, but confirm the number in your own redeem toast before planning around it.

Soul Harness is the cheapest early node in the tree

The Summon branch of the skill tree contains Soul Harness, and its first rank costs only 100 Coins — one of the cheapest purchases available anywhere in the tree. Later ranks scale steeply, with Soul Harness IV running 100,000 Coins.

The practical read: buy Soul Harness I almost immediately, because 100 Coins is nothing and it improves every kill from that point forward. Treat the higher ranks as a mid-game purchase once your Coin income can absorb them. Full node costs are on the skill tree page.

This is also why Coin income and Soul income are not competing priorities. Coins fund the node that increases Souls, so an early Coin investment compounds into Soul gains.

Kills are the only repeatable source

Beyond codes, Souls come from defeating heroes. That makes Soul farming a function of how fast your formation clears waves rather than anything you can grind directly:

  • A formation that clears a wave in half the time earns Souls roughly twice as fast.
  • Runs that collapse early cost you the whole tail of the wave.
  • Leaks that reach the castle waste time your units could have spent killing.

So if Souls feel slow, the problem is usually the formation, not the farming method. The wave planner and team builder are the faster fix — pushing clear speed raises Soul income as a side effect.

Cursed Moon is when you spend, not when you farm

This is the timing rule that matters most. Cursed Moon doubles your mutation chance while summoning. It runs for 5 minutes, and the next event only starts 10 minutes after the current one ends.

Because mutated units are substantially stronger than their base versions, the same Soul spent during Cursed Moon buys you a meaningfully better expected roll. The correct pattern:

  1. Bank Souls while Cursed Moon is not active.
  2. Watch the weather and next-event timer at the bottom-right of the HUD.
  3. Dump your banked Souls into Altar rolls during the 5-minute window.

Spending Souls at a random moment is the single most common way to waste them. See the events page for all three weather events and their confirmed multipliers.

What not to do

Do not spread Souls across many units. Third-party tier lists consistently find that only a small number of units are worth real investment, and that Demonic mutations scale far better than Shiny or Cursed ones. Rolling wide gives you a roster of units you will abandon.

Do not save Souls indefinitely. Souls sitting in your account do nothing. The goal is to hold them across the Cursed Moon cooldown, not across your whole session.

Source note

Event durations, cooldowns, and the Cursed Moon doubling are recorded from community reporting and gameplay footage rather than an official patch note, and the skill tree costs above come from tooltip captures. They have not been re-verified in game since being logged. Update 2 changed drop rates elsewhere in the economy, so if your observed numbers differ from these, trust what you see in your own run and let us know.
